This is the second installment of the Death Note franchise, and it is more of a recap and wrap up than the first movie was. I'm happy they brought back L, because he is the most interesting character of this movie. You know you're in trouble if they start making human connections with kids. There's also a new Shinigami, and you know this movie is going to be complicated, because it has the Death Note storyline, but only in a very tangential fashion. I think this movie will be a hit for fans of the anime/manga. I think it's a little weird to take the Death Note storyline and follow it on a completely new case. It's like putting together two different jigsaw puzzles. Since the Death Note is about the government's interest in criminals, this new story shouldn't really be about that. It should be about a terrorist organization and it's interest in the Death Note, and that's what I kind of liked about the original series. To me, at least. But, I'm guessing most people who like L will just be happy to see him again, regardless of the storyline.
Oddly enough, I really enjoyed the first Death Note movie, and I am hopeful that this sequel will turn out to be a better movie. I think they have a really interesting character in L, and I'm curious to see him interact with the people he meets in this new storyline. I'm also curious to see how they'll handle the Death Note storyline in this movie, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with in this case, since it's very different from the anime/manga.
The first Death Note movie was an interesting movie that had its strengths and weaknesses. While the story was essentially a retelling of the original Death Note manga, the movie still managed to show off the characters in their own separate stories, and that made the movie pretty enjoyable. This movie did a poor job of that, and I'm afraid this movie is going to be a major disappointment for fans of the anime/manga.
I've seen the first Death Note movie twice, so I don't think I'm going to bother with this movie any more than I did the first time around. I don't think I would recommend this movie to the Death Note fans, so if you're not a fan of the anime/manga, I would skip this movie and watch another one.
Like L in the Death Note anime/manga series, I really liked Light Yagami in the live-action Death Note movies. I liked how he treated his Death Note, how he handled his responsibility, how he treated his friends, how he lived his life, and how he died.Over time, I have come to really admire his character. He is a complicated guy. A guy who could have gone the way of the devil, but chose to become a good person. How he became a Kira is a question I don't really care for; I just want to see how the world will end with him as the one who causes it. And I got my wish. 827ec27edc
